Mirza Fakhrul said this at a press conference at the party chairperson’s office in Gulshan in the capital on Monday afternoon. The press conference was organized to inform about the party’s recent visit to China.

The BNP Secretary General said that he has called on China to play a more and more effective role in the safe, voluntary and dignified return of Rohingya citizens from Myanmar’s Rakhine state. He said that China is working with interest on the return of Rohingyas to Myanmar. They are trying to convince the Myanmar government.

Recently, a BNP delegation led by Mirza Fakhrul visited China at the invitation of the Chinese Communist Party. The group includes BNP standing committee members Mirza Abbas, Gayeshwar Chandra Roy, Selima Rahman, chairperson’s advisory council member Ismail Zabihullah, Professor Sukomal Barua, Zahir Uddin Swapan, media cell convener Moudud Hossain Alamgir Pavel and chairperson’s private secretary ABM Abdus Sattar. They were present at the press conference today.
